Defence Accounts Department Celebrates 278th Foundation Day with Enthusiasm in Lucknow

Lucknow – The Defence Accounts Department under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, celebrated its 278th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and festivity. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by S.K. Choudhary, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Central Command).

The cultural segment of the celebration commenced with a graceful rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the staff members. This was followed by a series of vibrant performances, including singing, dance, and other cultural presentations. The highlight of the event was the delightful performances by children, which won the hearts of all present.

On this occasion, the Principal Controller released the 17th edition of the office publication “Lekha Bharati”. Winners of various sports competitions and participants in the cultural programmes organised by the department were also felicitated.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rankaj Prakash Singh, Additional Controller; Himanshu Tripathi, Joint Controller; and Abhishek B.N., Assistant Controller, along with other officers and employees of the department.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pushkaraj Bharti, who expressed gratitude to the guests, participants, staff members, and media representatives for their cooperation. The successful organisation of the event was credited to the dedicated efforts of Vijay Kumar, Senior Accounts Officer, and Satyendra Singh, Assistant Accounts Officer.
